Wild Hare Gallery

Wild Hare Gallery is Travelers Rest’s newest art gallery, owned by local artists Kym Easter and Joann Benzinger. The Wild Hare is located at 212 B North Poinsett Highway, on the town’s proposed Arts Corridor. The Gallery currently represents nine local artists and craftsmen.

The gallery opened its doors on March 1st, 2019 and had its Grand Opening on April 11. The focus of the WH Gallery is on modern, local arts and fine crafts. Guest artists are exhibited for three to six months; this allows for new and interesting art at all times.

The gallery is currently open Tuesday through Friday 11:00 to 4:00, or by appointment. Applications are being taken now and appointments made for interviews for guest artist spots for the spring and summer months.

The Wild Hare Gallery is already a gathering spot for local artists and art enthusiasts to meet and mingle. Kym and Joann are representing the gallery in the TR Town Art Crawl by painting mural panels for the themes of the Art Crawl events. These paintings can be seen after the Art Crawl around town, perfect for picture taking.
