Have fun drawing your home! You can draw the entire house or focus on an attractive element of it. Learn how to bring it's charm!
About this Event
Would you like to learn how to draw your home? Students will work from their own photo and learn how to draw & shade a structure, decipher what is the focal point & what is distracting, learn about shading, crosshatching & pen & ink techniques.
We will work on composition and what would make an attractive home portrait. For instance, should flower pots be added? Maybe a tree is in the way & needs to be removed or the bushes are too big & need to be scaled down. Maybe a pet would add character?
Material you need to bring to class:
• 11 x 14 Sketch book – smooth, hot press, acid free (spiral bound is ideal)
• HB & F pencils
• Micron Black pens 01, 03, 05,
• White artist eraser
• Photos of your home enlarged to fit on 11 x 14 paper, bring a front shot, ¾ view and a front door view. We will pick the best one.
Kit is available for $28-. Includes all of the above supplies
